  • The landlords are slum lords! Don’t rent here. I had several friends that lived in the building over the past ten years and that place is just awful. The management would never come by to do repairs nor do anything about the junkie squatters that came and went.

    Don’t do it!

  • Sweet “Spa-like” bathroom.

In seriousness. It seems high for a studio even in that area.

  • 1800 for a 500 sq ft studio?! I love that neighborhood but you’re paying a ton for high end upgrades. A stainless steel range works just as well as a white one and paying extra to have those things in a RENTAL, in a moderate-to-low end building, seems a bit ridiculous.

$1800 gets you a 1br thats far closer to the Dupont Metro with less upgrades in a similar building. Poor balance of pros and cons on this one.

Also, I have a bosch dryer – its nice, but its hardly worth noting in a rental listing.

  • Wow, that’s crazy! I think similar one bedrooms (600 ft-ish) could be found for around that much or only a little bit more in the area.

  • also… that tile is ugly! I would pay NOT to have that!

  • I was sold at glass back-splash!

  • Is there really a high-end studio market? Crash pad?

    • Yup, if you cant afford a 1BR but want to live in a nice area and have decent paying job with no family expenses. no roommate BS.

But agreed, this one is not priced right.

  • SouthwestDC

Oh, it’ll sell. There’s no limit to how much people will pay to live in that area.

  • Why don’t you post the basic BR/BA info in the bullets? Makes a difference if this is for a studio or a 1br.

  • 500 sq ft?

    I’ve seen bigger closets.

  • My friends lived in that building, and it was so gross. The property managers would NEVER fix anything, roach-invested. She literally had the ceiling above the toilet falling into it, and sewage backing up into the bathtub.

Run far away from this place.

    • Here-here. My friend also had the same roof falling in with raw sewage from apartments from above problem. It was disgusting. Everytime you heard a flush you would then see brown water flowing from the ceilings. Multiple calls to the building management to fix the problem went unanswered. I do know that some of the tenants back in 2005? got together and sued the property manager for lack of repairs and hazardous living conditions.

      I doubt anything has improved.

  • When I read the description I was thinking is it a 1BR or a 2BR? Then I clicked on the link and saw it was a STUDIO! That’s crazy. I don’t think glass tile is that valuable.
