A Very Good Sign from Meridian Pint coming to 11th and Park Road, NW

Much respect for the proper sign! For those who have been inquiring about an opening date – it is looking like early June but the target of opening in time for the World Cup is still looking good. Here were the last sneak peek photos we looked at last week.

  • Great sign! Meridian Pint is really attentive to the small architectural / design / fixture details in their space … if they are equally attentive to the caliber of the food, I will be a regular for certain.

  • What are those two things with wires sticking out of them below the sign? Lights? Looks a little rough around the edges, but I guess that’s the look they’re going for.

  • Can’t wait! Do we know yet if it’ll be open by June 11th?

  • Can’t wait for Meridian Pint to open!

  • Looks good to me.
Still sorting out my plans for England v USA; I’d prefer to stay in the neighborhood… This could be the roost.

  • when I was walking my dogs last night, I asked the guys who were hanging the sign when it was opening. They said “2 weeks from tomorrow”! (i.e. now today) so would mean would be Thursday, June 10th!

  • where’s the best place to see the World Cup if you live north of Columbia Heights?

    • Don’t know, but I just moved north of CH and would also love to hear some recommendations!

    • Prince Of Petworth

Depends how far north you are but I bet it’ll be really lively at Moroni & Bros. Pizza at 4811 Georgia Ave, NW (Games will probably be in Spanish though).

      • gooooooooooooooooooooool

      • Thanks for the recommendation! What about any of the [presumably] Salvadoran restaurants on 14th around Spring? Any of them particularly good for futbol watching?

  • Thanks for all the great support thus far. We’re super excited to get open and I really hope to get open by World Cup but it may be a tad tardy depending on our ability to satisfy inspectors. As for the exposed wires under the sign, they’re video surveillance cameras and sign lighting but will certainly get tidied up before opening. Big thanks to Phillip, Columbia Heights local & owner of ‘The Sign Company’.

Thanks again for all the great support. Can’t wait to show y’all what we’ll be bringing to the neighborhood.
