  • The chef is brillant! He has restaurants in Toronto and NY (at Thompson LES). I wonder though if the “executive chef” concept really works. I don’t think West End Bistro is a true reflection of the genius of Eric Ripert for instance.

Rooftop bar – count me in! Maybe they can do a deal like the Capitol Skyline’s Sunday afternoon burger bash.

  • Went there back in January on Date night. It was very, very tasty. Sushi was excellent and the crazy coleslaw was worth all of the hype. It was rather expensive though- $150 total- a function of the $60 sake I guess. Also, as with so many restuarants these days, someone came by every 3-5 minutes to ask if we were doing ‘okay’, which I find incredibly annoying.

  • Been there once and thought it was mediocre at best.

Over priced “decent” sushi and terrible Asian fusion dishes. I had some sort of phad thai that was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I won’t be back.

  • Love the roof top for drinks and nice view! Parents stayed there while visiting and they loved it!

  • Rooftop bar is sweet but a little bit of a hazard if you are planning to drink to excess! 😉

Sushi is expensive, but worth it. And the rooftop is a lot of fun and often visited by the Balance Gym staff from next door!
