Rant: I don’t have anyone to kiss at midnight, thanks to the official break-up on Tuesday night. He’s a big love to move on from, and it won’t be easy.

The weather’s crappy, and I’ll probably end up staying home and watching my DVR of the Real World DC and The Office. Make it to midnight? That’d be rich..

My LSAT score wasn’t that great, and I don’t want to take it again, but I’m signed up in February… I’ve lost any motivation to finish my applications.

Rave: Maybe 2010 will be better?

  • Rave: I get out of work at 2! Guess who is grabbing sangrias at La Tasca immediately after? Pssh, 2pm is totally the new 5pm. 🙂

Rave: Attending the NYE Gala hosted by the International Club of DC at Wardman Park tonight! So freaking excited!

  • Rave: House Parties are great!!!! I just bought two bottles of Hennessy Black and I’m ready to get it in tonight!

Rant: Driving and Drinking is a horrible practice. #enjoyresponsibly.

Rave: My parents finally sold their house and look to be moving into the farm they wanted 3 years ago. It’s a great thing.

Rave: My wife got a second job interview with the union she’s going to work at. I’m puttin’ it out there – our words create our world! 🙂

    2009 was awesome!!!

  • Rant: 2009 was a horrible, crappy year. good riddance.
Rave: 2010 has pretty much only one way to go UP.

Another new years eve…another day probably home alone…sigh… there was a time when I had so many friends that I knew what was going on. They all have moved on leaving me to surf the web for things to do (with strangers).

A couple of girls I know are hosting a party at “The Fridge” in SE… maybe I should go, or maybe I should just order Tso’s Shrimp, pour some peach Schanpps and watch Blu-Rays….

Face Book invite for The Fridge 1929’s party (only $5 to get in)..

Rave: nothing to be happy about just yet.

  • Rant: Kalorini gets it exactly right. 2009 was bad for the personal life.

    Rave: 2009 was *awesome* professionally!

I’m resolving to get out more in 2010 – how am I going to meet people sitting at home?

  • OMG AT you just wrote my exact words.

Rave: Love love love my job!

Rave: In 2009 I got hooked on doing triathlons…bring on the 2010 season!

Rant: Stupid love interest was just Stooopid!!!

2010: looking to get out more and meet that special someone.

    Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Sounds like there needs to be another PoP meet-n-greet. Hah, PoP speed dating 😛 Hardy har har.

  • Rave: I didn’t die from a blood clot this year. Wedding planning was mercifully low maintenance. House got warmer with new windows

Rant: Spent too much of my year inside working on stuff, not enough out about town.

    Resolution: Get out more.

Rave: Go Tribe! William and Mary earned it’s second ACC win last night in a dominant game against Maryland last night.

Rant: Only 1.5 days left on my vacation (and the weekend).

no rants or raves just yet.

  • Rant: sore throat, argh.

Rave: 2009 is almost over, what a challenging year.

Raver: early release from the office! party time….

  • Rant: Love living here, but still can’t figure out how to afford to buy housing in DC – this market makes no sense to me. Another year renting seems to be in my future.

Rave: We made it through hosting xmas for the first time, with the in laws. No one got food poisoning, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Overall, 2009 was pretty cool.

Just confusing: The capticha text is “Washington fobbing” which sounds vaguely improper.

  • @vonstallin and kalorini et al: Get out and party and enjoy being able to got WHEREVER you want WHENEVER you feel, before love and possibly kids ties you down, believe it brother it will happen so savor the FREEDOM. P.S. vonstallin your avatar is seriously scary.
Rave/rant: We got a babysitter but I have to work tomorrow and I’m the designated driver tonight, natch. A beautiful new baby and a merry Christmas bookmarked an incredibly challenging year. Thanks for the totally unrenovated house, old man who used to live in Petworth! Umpfh!
Rave: Loving this picture – 1920’s yacht the Miss Ann at the Gangplank? Look at the snow!

    • Yup, taken during the wedding that was held there on Sat the 19th during the snowstorm.

I’ve been trying to convince the owners to not sell her and to make it into a private membership club. Concierge, fulltime bartender, $1 beers for members! Sign me up!

Another idea….Speed dating on the Miss Ann!

  • Rant: Stuck at work writing a report explaining why the website went down for 3 hours. Also development is claiming we lost mucho in donations for it being down during such a critical time of year. Bummer.

Rave: This suck ass of a year is almost over.

  • Rave – great year professionally, consulting business grew++, interesting work for the new year. Turned 50 with everything still intact and functioning just fine.

Rant – not so great year for relationships. Lot of room for improvement…

captcha “riding on” – just about sums it up.

  • Rave: 10 years ago tomorrow I met the love of my life.

Rant: He’s now the love of someone else’s life.

  • Rant: BF out of town, first time in 4 years we won’t be together on New Year’s.

Rant: not sure how much longer we’ll be together anyway, guess 2009 killed a lot of relationships.

Rave: Going to a party where I don’t know many people, but am hopeful about the possibilities

Rave? First PoP RRRR post (figured it was time I stopped spying and started joining).

  • Rant: Still haven’t found a good job…probably gonna have to get a McJob to be worthwhile.

Rave: At least I left the Midwest a few months ago. I freakin’ love DC.

  • Rave: Looking forward to hearing everyone start calling this year “Twenty ten” instead of “Two thousand ten.”

Rant: Inevitable disappointment after it doesn’t happen.
