The flier says:

“Three level Victorian row house in the heart of Logan Circle with 3 BR, 2.5 baths, parking and garden. This home has a renovated kitchen w/ cherry cabinets, stainless, granite counters, hardwood floors throughout, 3 FP, original pocket doors, high ceilings, fantastic location.”

More info found here and a virtual tour found here.

I know this is nearly house porn but the first few houses I wanted to post didn’t have any photos listed. And man are the photos of this house pretty sweet. What do you think of the home itself? Does $995,000 sound realistic?

For the curious here’s a great house that I wanted to show but didn’t have any interior photos in the listing:

It is located at 1222 Girard Street, NW in Columbia Heights and is going for $685,000.

  • The Kingman street house looks like a great deal. Not as large as some, but really lovely. I like the pink living room– I tried to sell something like that shade for our house, but my husband nixed it.

  • i looked at a basement apartment on Kingman… needless to say, i do not live there.
    love the street.

  • I’ve been in that house before–I don’t recall it being that light filled–maybe they changed paint color. Great house and great block though.

  • I love the house – updated kitchen w/ original details, great location. I would be happy with that house for many years. For me to have any shot at a house like that w/ original detail and updates I would be looking in H street. Essentially Logan rowhouse = $1,000,000 🙁

  • lovely house. just a comment–not about ‘good deal or not’–is it just me or does the stove seem oddly placed. It seems kind of crammed into the corner. There’s one whole side of the kitchen with no appliances, that would have made a better location. Or even flipping the dishwasher and the stove so that it wasn’t squeezed between the refrigerator and the sink, would have felt less cramped.

  • ogden – I agree it does seem like a weird placing but it may have been way more expensive to move gas lines or whatever than the wanted.

LOVE the pocket door and original trim work.

  • I lived on that street for 2 years and it is quite possibly the most adorable street ever! It is quiet. Big mature street trees. There is no through traffic since it is a one block long street. It is around the corner from the P and 14th street Whole foods mecca and the gorgeous circle. It is an equi-distant about 1/2 mile or so from all of the train lines (no more transferring ever). The studio theater is around the corner and is always in need of ushers (free theater). There is also a boys and girls club across the street. When I lived there 2 years ago, there were condos around the corner on Q going for $1.2 and a house across the street which I think was smaller, but had a great roof deck, went for a about $900k if I remember correctly.

I now live in north columbia heights and find myself pining for the neighborhood and its amenities from time to time. If I had a cool mil to drop on a house, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
