The flier says:

“Great space for the $$$. nice unit with hdwd floors, a gorgeous updated kit w/ granite and stainless appliances – viking fridge! Fireplace, high ceilings, a balcony AND patio, 2 decent sized bedrooms & a huge private storage closet!!! low fee & walk to all dupont/adams morgan/u street have to offer!!!”

You can find more info here and a few photos here.

I’ve been dying to know what it looks like inside these unusual buildings on the 1700 block of U Street. I’ve always thought the top pointed part would make an awesome skylight… Anyway, at least we get a glimpse if only a few photos are listed. This 2 bed/1.5 bath is going for $425,000. Sound reasonable?

  • Yes. You cannot find a fireplace, patio and two bedrooms in this neighborhood for less. We tried.

  • That layout or the space – I don’t know – seems awkward.

  • okay deal, its on par with the other prices for the square footage. ad says 900 sq ft, but public facts states 831.

  • Quincy St Neighbor

The price is fair, but those buildings and units remind me too much of the upperclassmen apt residences from my elite new england college… don’t wanna be stuck in a time warp forevs with the dry erase board tacked to the front door! lol

  • Colorado College is more like it, chap.

  • I’m not surprised those public records indicate a smaller square footage. Even the virtual tour seems cramped.

Having been in the market for a 2 bedroom condo, I got really tired of seeing these sub-1000 foot spaces with two walkin closets that happen to fit a bed.

$511/sqft (presuming the 831 is actually correct) and a $274/mo condo fee. Overall it seems about right for the area. Location location location.
