  • Giant!?! But there’s wonderful corn at the farmers’ markets.

  • The other day I heard a recipe calling for fresh corn (raw or cooked), blueberries, sweet onions, olive oil, fresh basil, salt and pepper. Mix and let sit for a while. Then use with cold grilled chicken in a tortilla. I haven’t tried it, but is sounds like I might like it.

  • Elote is a fantastic gift from our Latino brethren: grilled corn, mayo, cheese, and some lime. Fan-f**king-tastic.

  • Whatchya doing burning corn? Soak it in water for 20 minutes, then grill it (with the leaves on) till the steam stops coming out. Best corn ever.
