    Rave: 1
Race Season is going very well…VIR in VA, then Summit Point in West VA, next Nelsons Ledger in Ohio

    Rave: 2
Met alot of people on a very big motorcycle group ride to the Tiki Bar opening in Solomons Island this weekend, and was in Adams Morgan on this weekend…about 100 motorcycles.

Its Raining, I am starving and I’m Bored.

  • Its nelson’s ledges…

  • Rant: Last week was awful.

Rave: Aforementioned awful week was sucessfully mitigated by a great weekend and a promising week. Looking forward to some grilling, brewing, and nice weather.

  • Rave: Sitting on my front porch this weekend studying reminded me again of the joys of living in the city, a car passing by playing mana, some guys listening to hip hop on the corner, three sets of people actually stopped to ask me what i was reading (different genders, ages and races), a woman talking to her neighbor about free plant cuttings in VA, knowing that soon I’d be walking to Domku to get delicious lefse and I thought to myself why would anyone ever want to leave?

Rant: The rain has made it very difficult to take my new bike for a spin.

  • Rant: this rain is killing my running.

  • Rave: I can’t imagine a more beautiful weekend.

  • rant: one hour after seeing a great apartment, called back to say I was interested and in the interim someone else had already applied….and the current tenant (who was showing the place) won’t even give me her landlady’s contact info so I can apply as well (what if his credit check falls through or he backs out or I’m willing to take a longer lease?)

rave: a friend who was planning on leaving DC might be staying, in which case I’ll get a kickass new roommate and won’t need a new apartment anyway.

  • Rant: Arbys. Seriously, WTF? Arbys?

  • Rant #1: People in DC drive like retards.

Rant #2: People in DC drive like retards x 10 when it’s raining out.

  • I met up with an ex this weekend (Philadelphia) and I think I want to break up with my current hometown (DC). I don’t know… I was all excited for the change, four years ago. I told Philly, it’s not you, it’s me. I need the excitement of a new place! (And I need the job.) And I tried to make it work with DC, I really did. But seeing Philly again just brought all those wonderful memories rushing back. Sure, Philly isn’t perfect, but it just felt so right. I don’t want to abandon DC. We made some great memories together. Hey, we have a child together! And I changed my name (see above). And we have tons of mutual friends. Is there resident/city counseling, to help me work past my DC resentment, and get over Philly once and for all?

  • Rave: Playing volleyball by the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.

Rant: That I’m not playing volleyball by the Lincoln Memorial right now. (Well, if it wasn’t raining)

  • rant: my *(%(@(ing roof is leaking in my bedroom

rant: Timor Bodega got held up

  • Rant- we’ve gotten at least 3 tickets in the last month for “no payment on dash”… except we were not parked in the CH areas that are performance metered- just a regular zone street.

Has this happened to anyone else out there?

  • Rave: So tired of all of the garbage on my street I spent two hours picking up trash yesterday. Filled up three big bags and my street looked lovely afterwords.

Rant: About two hours later I watched a truck stop on the street and the driver threw handfuls of trash into the empty lot across the street.

  • anon at 12:38 pm, where were you sitting? I drove by this weekend in the ‘hood blasting Mana. : )

  • rant – went to a horrid club on 14th street. Park? Josephine? Don’t really care to remember. Actually had to stand in line and pay cover like a bitch but had no choice bc I was trying to be a good rolldawg. Club was full of eurotrash and kids and cheesiness. Lost my wallet and phone. Grr. Never again.

  • rant: I some how made what should have been a wall post my status message for an hour on facebook, it wasnt exactly something for the masses. whoops. my stupid roommate forgot her keys this AM making me adjust my plans to let her in tonite.

rave: said roommate was out of town all weekend and saturday was BEAUTIFUL and i had a wonderful BBQ with friends.

  • Rant: I went out to get in my car on Sunday, parked in front of my house on 13th St., and my passenger side mirror was knocked off! Someone, probably drunk on Saturday night, walked by and slammed my mirror.

  • Rant: I spent the last two hours concerned about my suddenly blurry vision and was checking symptoms on WebMD, etc. Uh-oh, this can’t be good.

Rave: I finally decided that maybe they just needed a good cleaning. On taking them off to clean, I discovered that the right lens had fallen out.

  • Rave: Spent the weekend on my patio drinking wine.
    Rant: Rain.
Rant 2: 3 rain-averse pooches (I’m dog sitting 2 whose mom and dad had a baby last night (RAVE 2!)) who really, really don’t want to go outside when they each have their own warm couch/dog bed inside. I’m pretty sure they’re competing in some “who can hold it the longest” competition with each other.

  • @WDC – I totally feel you on that! Love DC, but there’s just something about Philly……

  • Rant: Gave Red Rocks one last chance, and it sucked as usual. The rumors that they’ve gotten their act together are false. The crust is just as soggy as the day they opened. Boo Red Rocks.

  • 14thandColumbia – was at RR this weekend, and had no such issues w/ the crust.

  • Went to RR on Thursdays, and the pepperoni was great.

  • Rant: Wish my boyfriend would actually address our serious storage/clutter issues.
Rave: Got a new suit and feel like a million bucks.

  • Rave: Finally won the caption contest! Can’t wait to get coveted PoP t-shirt!
Rave 2: Beautiful weekend, had a small gathering on the roof of Nellies on Saturday for my birthday. I survived 7 hours of drinking!!
Rave 3: Never got sick after 7 hours of drinking!! Was saved by double dose of ramen and lots of gatorade when I got home.
Rant: Weekends are way too short and rainy mondays suck!

  • Rant: Its raining today and looks like it is going to rain tomorrow and the next day 🙁
Rave: It looks like my fence may still get completed today.

Rave: Part of my internet garden was delivered today
Rant: Some of my “plants” came in plastic bags and are really dormant roots. And the directions given were limited except to store them in my crisper until I want to plant.

  • Also went to Red Rocks this weekend. Saturday at 7 or 8pm. Food was awesome – but we had to wait over an hour for a table. We were told it would 25 minutes. Service was slow and the waitress apologized about 15 times (annoying). Perhaps this was our own fault for going at a busy time on the nicest day of the year, but they really need to get their act together. I don’t think I will ever go back on a weekend.

  • Rant: Crowded, humid buses full of wet people – ugh

    Rave: Well, Saturday was lovely

  • My Red Rocks pizza and my girlfriends were barely edible. Maybe everyone else has really low pizza standards.

It took me several tries to parse the sentence above. My first read of it was a bit confusing, then funny. Sadly, I eventually read it as intended, and it’s just boring now.
