Well this was really random sight. This entire chain link fence on Georgia Ave. was adorned with dozens of combination locks. Any ideas?

^yes. The only danger at this location is being run over by a motorist from Maryland.
Faison's writeups make me crazy. And not in a good "I'm crazy for buying this house!" way.
The Dancing Crab's commercials have to be the worst I've ever seen. The owners saying,...
God you people are boring. Why not more chatter about their footwears?
Cheesy and cheap. Something you'd expect the Montgomery, Al. Convention's Bureau to run...
I can only guess, but I saw it a while back and loved it and was compelled to look around my house for an old lock to add to it. Maybe that is why there are so many locks on it, people like me see a few and want to add to it.
I know there is a tradition in Florence to place locks on the Ponte Vecchio:

I saw this when I was there, but only tourists do it, and eventually they get cut down. Not sure what this is about.
Similar tradition in ZhangJiaJie, China:

My partner and I live not too far from this fence and wondered about it as well. When we found an old combination lock (open) for which he forgot the combination, he felt compelled to add it to the collection.
They do this in china on the great wall and other places, no idea what it means…
A memorial to stolen bikes?
If this were a contest, WDC would win a shirt for his comment.
There’s another tradition of that in Cinque Terre, Italy, on Lovers Lane.
I sort of love it.
My guess is there’s a school nearby and at the end of the year all the kids take the padlocks off their lockers and lock them to the first fence they come across as they walk home. Better than chucking them at cyclists or pedestrians!
I saw this on Washington Kaleidoscope last week. Is this a new occurance?
There is a similar lock wall in Pecs, Hungary. Most of the locks are engraved with phrases like, “John loves Michelle”. Lovers can purchase engraved locks nearby and “lock” their love.
