Dutch-Puffs at Dos Gringos

Did anyone sample the Dutch-Puffs that were cooking on the outdoor patio of Dos Gringos? They looked pretty good but, sadly, I had already eaten. Anyone ever hear of these before? I was told if the weather isn’t too cold, they’ll be available next weekend as well.

  • Yes, the “pancakes” are pretty much an excuse for eating sweet butter and powdered sugar. Nonetheless, I still like it because its a pretty decent street food experience.

  • I grew up in a town that was established by the Dutch. It had an annual festival, celebrating the Dutch heritage. Amongst the food offerings were poffertjies, the small pancake treat served with butter and powdered sugar. I suspect Duth-puffs is the anglicized name for these.
