14th Set of Entries for the 2010 Coolest Pet in PoPville Contest

Ed. Note: Entries close at midnight tonight Friday, July 23rd no exceptions. We’ve gotten tons of great entries that will still be posting for 2 more weeks or so before the semifinal rounds commence. Remember if you have a favorite please let me know. If you emailed a photo of your pet I promise all photos will be posted, patience please, there are tons (literally hundreds) of pets in PoPville!

Zeebo

“This is Zeebo. His hobbies include monitoring avian activity in the alley behind our building, eating, and fire safety (there was a fire in my building in ’09 and his weird behavior is what encouraged me to call 911). Definitely the coolest cat in PoPville in my book!”

Lucy

“This is Lucy. It’s possible that she’s half ewok.”

Sawyer

“Don’t let Sawyer’s regal demeanor fool you – he is all about cat nip, catching your feet when you least suspect it, and begging for his favorite treat – potato chips. Sawyer doesn’t take the role of couch potato lightly! He’s enjoyed the good life with us for the past three years, even since we snapped up this adorable bundle of fur from the
NY Ave shelter.”

Lots more great entries after the jump.

Petey

“Petey Muchacho Von Strasburg!”

Dexter

“This is my French Bulldog puppy Dexter. He is one year old, and is well-aware of how cute he is–to the point that he stops anyone on the sidewalk who acknowledges his presence to try to get an ear scratch.”

Ghillie

“Ghillie was a sad young mom at the NY Ave shelter before she joined our home several weeks ago. Now she leads the good life, including catching rare moments of repose with her most favorite thing in the world – our couch. Ghillie is named in part for a dorky Harry Potter reference (gillyweed) and in part in the noble Scottish tradition.
Despite her demure appearance she is hunter at heart and more than happy to take a dip in her water bowl several times a day.”

Isabella

“This is Isabella. I adopted her from an animal shelter in North Carolina 7 years ago. This pic is of her surveying the snow during SNOmageddon. She’s definitely a Southern Mutt and did not enjoy the snow! On non-snow days she can be found patrolling the streets in 16th Street Heights.”

Barley

“This is Barley. He and his sister were adopted this past winter from a foster home in Virginia.
He is super cool. This is him chillin’ in his queen sized bed.”

Teddy

“Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt”

Bunny

“Bunny, who enjoys helping me work, and whom I wanted to submit for consideration after seeing her apparent kin, Tumbleweed, posted here recently. Bunny has also lived in Boston, NJ, and DC. She is a big marshmallow girl.”

Trace

“Our dog, Trace, overseeing bath time… desperately wanting to join in the fun.”

Oliver

“Meet Oliver! He is a rambunctious little guy who loves to show off his “Blue Steel” and other looks. You can find him on any given day outside the gates of the White House hoping to get a play date with Bo Obama.”

Purrsey

“Purrsey Cat (official name, Mygo’s Louis Vuitton Purse). He’s a lynx point Siamese who thinks he’s a dog.”

Caterina

“The second is a picture of Caterina Kitty. She loves shoes!”

Julep

“Her name is Julep and she is part collie and part red heeler.”
