Good Deal or Not? Condo Edition

The flier for this condo at 1105 Park Road, NW says:

“Stunning 2BD/2.5BA with large outdoor space. Hardwood flooring and exposed brick walls throughout unit. Unit pre-wired for audio system in ceilng. State of the art, stainless steel kitchen complete, beautiful open floorplan, and great natural light.”

More photos and info found here.

I’m a huge fan of this location and the photos really do look great. Any fans of exposed brick out there? Anyway, does $539,000 sound reasonable?

  • I do like exposed brick, but that has got to be the cheapest bathroom ever. I’d knock a hundred grand off just for the insult of that.

  • Looks nice, but it seems a bit steep. I’d say $450 was more reasonable.

  • God, I hope they get $540k for it. That means that my house, with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths and a finished basement and off-street parking will net me a tidy profit when I have to sell it next year.

  • It’s pretty looking but I’d rather buy a house and fix it up then buy a condo at that price.

  • I think this same house was on the market 6 months ago at the same price apparently. Plus no parking included (even though there are I think 4 spots out back) is dumb for this price. I never knew a Target can demand a 50K premium.

  • This building is really beautiful and the work is nicely done. I was visiting one of the units with a contractor who used to work for Donohoe, and he was very impressed with the quality of the work. Now that I’m seeing my Gallagher and Hughley-bought trim falling off the walls (great job by Antonio, eh?) I realize there’s a difference between contractors for the long term.
