CulinAerie “The Pinnacle of Food & Wine Instruction” Opening In New Location Soon

CulinAerie located at 1131 14th Street NW promises to be the Pinnacle of Food & Wine Instructions. Their Web site also says:

“CulinAerie is pleased to announce our new address at 1131 14th Street NW, just south of Thomas Circle in downtown Washington. This glass-fronted street level space will house two large state-of-the-art kitchen classrooms for both participation and demonstration cooking classes.

Offerings will include baking and pastry, wine tastings, series classes, technique workshops and international cuisine seminars. We’ll also have a wide selection of private events including team-building and team-bonding, amateur iron chef competitions, holiday and celebratory entertainment, as well as alumni and corporate gatherings, all with a culinary motif.”

Sounds awesome. Has anyone taken any classes or wine tastings at Culin Aerie before?

  • I’d be freaked about the viability of such a venture in the current economy. Gourmet anything will be among the first things to go when people start feeling the pinch.

  • I’m excited for this to open! They have a lot of great classes listed on their web site. I think it is a new place altogether, not a new location (but may be wrong).

  • I’ve not taken a class here yet, but the owners are amazing cooks and I’m psyched to try their cake decorating class in March!
