Washington Business Journal Reports on More Georiga Ave Development News

Thanks to a reader for sending the news from the Washington Business Journal. Apparently Donatelli Development Inc. and the Neighborhood Development Corp. have bid on “The 5,700-square-foot lot at 3825-3829 Georgia Ave. NW and 3,700 square feet in two vacant storefronts at 3813 and 3815 Georgia Ave.” WBJ reports, “Both teams suggested retail and housing, and one of them suggested offices…the teams will present their ideas to the community by Sept. 1 and the District hopes to make a decision by early November.”

  • You know, I swear I saw a presentation in February, at the meeting where Safeway development was discussed, on what was planned for those sites. I’ll go looking around for notes and such, but maybe someone else who was there can tell me if I’m remembering correctly?

  • Things are definitely abuzz. I looked at a house in the 3800 block of NH. It was a fixer upper. The house was under contract by the beginning of the next week. With CH being out of reach for those of making less than 120K, Petworth is the only option left in NW….
