Neat Neighborhood Find: Junction Village

DSCN0555

My quest to feature every single shop on U Street continues! Junction Village, located at 1510 U Street, has been open for almost five years and is owned by Shannon Fales. I spoke with sales associate Megan. Megan describes Junction Village as a small vintage store that is very well edited. She explained that they pick their pieces locally and occassionally on trips from all over the country. They generally go shopping on Monday and Tuesday so that new products are in the store on Wednesday. The store features men’s and women’s clothing as well as jewelry, accessories, and some luggage. The clothing is a mixture of thrift and higher quality vintage. All the clothing is cleaned and repaired before it is placed for sale. Dresses range from $30-$50, skirts from $20-$30 and men’s shirts from $20-$30. Of course high end designers are a bit pricier. The store is closed Monday and Tuesday and open Wed. from 3-7 pm, Thurs – Sat. 12-7 pm and Sun. 12-5 pm. If you are into vintage this a very cool place to check out. Check out some more photos after the jump.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
