Sick Back of a Row House Renovation

Ed. Note: In case I haven’t mentioned it before, from time to time, it can be very unsettling walking through alleys even in the daytime. As I was admiring this wild renovation I stumbled upon a guy chilling on his back steps. He turned out to be a perfectly nice guy but It was just a bit unsettling. So if you don’t see any new posts from me after a couple of days, I’d like someone to call the police for me. Thanks.

  • I worry. There are some posts where you just seem so afraid! Granted, the guy ended up being a nice guy (what I gathered from your post), but the roughnecks out there smell fear and will act on that. Carry yourself with confidence, show discretion and street sense, and you should be okay.

Be careful when you’re out and about!

  • That addition is absolutely hideous!

Thanks GS. But what you are reading is my very bizarre sense of humor. I am actually an extremely tough guy. And mean too. I’m very tough and mean so no worries.

  • Dear PoP – Saw your pic with you wearing that silly blue jacket and although I applaude your fearlessness, I think a group of four teenagers from the ‘hood would not recognize that you are the fearless PoP and might lighten your wallet load.

  • Don’t worry Prince, that Kappa top is pure 80s casual. You just need a Stanley knife and an Aquascutum scarf to complete the look. Bonus points if you pilfered it on a Euro away.

Yeah, some local kids might try to steal your wallet, but you can bore them with stories about how you took the North Bank Highbury back in ’87. And then turn old-style hooligan on them.

    You’ll Never Walk Alone.

  • This is not a recent renovation. I looked at the house next door in my house search last summer and decided that I couldn’t live next to this house – not because it is hideous (which it is), but because I couldn’t share walls with something so dilapidated that it might cave in and hurt someone. It is barely standing up.

  • hey, it’s the back of the house – why not a half-timbered fantasy world? probably a Monty Python fan!
