Function and beauty. These are awesome. Are these not the best you’ve ever seen?

  • A couple weeks ago my house was broken into because someone had bent my heavy-duty window bars (presumably with a tool). So when I see thin little bars like these, it just looks like they’re inviting someone to break in. Beauty, but very little function.

  • I do not know about functionality, but this security art looks amazing!!!!
Can I get the name of the person/company that makes grilles of this kind?

  • Prince Of Petworth

I’m afraid I just saw this on a walk about so I can’t provide any company info. Anyone else know?

  • Hey – that’s my house! The bars are a mystery. When my husband and I moved into the house over two years ago, the place was pretty rundown, but there were little quirky details like the security bars on the windows and front door (which has some sort of dream catcher/Native American motif) that stood out. They are very detailed and well-made, so somebody put a lot of TLC into them. I wish I knew who as well, b/c the bars on the back are not quite as lovely!

  • Those are nice. Didn’t think about the functionality aspect, but they are still cool–like rays of security. It would be cool if the iron could be heated (of course not so much it burns the house down) and glowed like the sun. Anyway, I think that would be cool…moving along.

  • I will admit, that they do cast a cool shadow in the house when the afternoon sun shines through!
