Used Bike Sale Sat. To Benefit Some Good Orgs

From a reader:
I wondered if you wouldn’t mind posting about a bike sale event on Saturday to benefit local community bike shops and organizations and a local community garden.  I’m a volunteer at a small local bike shop called Phoenix Bikes.  We focus on youth mentorship programs and providing inexpensive and reliable transportation to local folks.  The whole place works on donated bikes and donated time.  Anyway, the event on Saturday is at 7th St Garden from 10am-4pm.

Anyway!  Here’s the pitch for the event:

Used Bike Sale – December 15th
Get the season’s best deals and support community-based, eco-initiatives. Road, Single Speed, Mountain, Cruiser, and Kids bikes will all be ready to ride home through the snow. The sale benefits Phoenix Community Bike Shop ( http://www.phoenixbikes.org/), Mount Rainier Bike CoOp (http://www.tfkmetrodc.org/mrbc.htm), Bikes for the World ( http://www.bikesfortheworld.org/) and the 7th Street Garden (http://the7thstreetgarden.squarespace.com/) – a great chance to grab a bike and get hip to great organizations in and around the District.

December 15th
10 am – 4 pm
1523 7th St. NW
Washington, DC

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
