  • awful–just like the entire re-development of that area. it’s the suburban mall, brought back to the city.

  • It’s becoming DC’s Times Square! Soon they will be broadcasting Meet the Press from a second floor studio above Fuddruckers…….

  • What’s going into that space where the Benetton used to be?

  • Prince Of Petworth

I think it is going to be an AT&T store.

  • I think it is cool. That area has grown so much over the past decade, it is great to see it continue to attract new approaches and markets. Cities are meant to be bright and have big displays and Gallery Place is bringing that aspect to DC.

  • I love it.

  • Don’t get me wrong–I’d hate to see the entire downtown lit up like this. That would be a travesty. But in this one pocket of the city–I dunno, to me it adds an element of energy and boisterousness that’s lacking elsewhere.

  • as i once wrote, gallery place is definitely a bridge and tunnel hangout…
what i like about this pic ( i know- the old paradoxical line) is that it doesnt look like dc. if that makes any sense…..

  • Who actually uses a cellular phone store anymore??? I always feel like picketing the stores to let people know that you can not only get the same phone for free at Amazon, you’ll also likely get additional cash back. I guess having Internet access might be the limiting factor. I really wish DC inspired more than just cell phone shops and banks in some of its newest developments.

  • I like them. I like them a lot. These new video billboards add to the excitement and energy of this part of downtown D.C. I can’t wait to see them in person.
